Facilitators
In an effort to provide the highest quality program and the best possible learning experience for children, the Monique Burr Foundation for Children seeks to ensure the facilitators for Speak Up Be Safe™ master the program with an expected level of facilitation quality and program fidelity, therefore the Monique Burr Foundation utilizes facilitators with qualifications that are considered essential to creating a safe and effective experience for students participating in the program.
To date, most facilitators have consisted of guidance counselors and other school personnel familiar to students within their respective schools. It is possible that at some point in the future other community professionals may also be utilized to facilitate Speak Up Be Safe™ classes within the schools. All facilitators must participate in a standardized training and ongoing re-certification process, and receive resources and technical assistance to support their ongoing development as they implement the Speak Up Be Safe™ program.
Our Program Managers are always available to support our facilitators, and they communicate on a regular basis to ensure the program is implemented with fidelity. If you would like more information about our facilitators or about becoming a facilitator in the future, please contact us.
